Why would anyone outside of that region know that?

Hey michael, I noticed ur location says Jax. Its the same thing with that. You may actually live in Orange Park or Manderin, but would prolly still say oh yeah I live in Jacksonville. Same thing with us Atlantans. Alot of the cities that are/were unincorporated have Atlanta addresses, Sandy Springs and Dunwoody to name a few which both are incorporated now. If you think about it both of the two mentioned cities are just north of actual downtown, and to me is still considered the ATL. You can take marta from Dunwoody and be in downtown very quick! Just my thoughts.

I thought so too...I'm thinking most adults could at least name Brooklyn, Manhattan, Bronx, and Queens - though some might forget Staten Island.

LOL!like I mentioned b4. when I first visited here I was under the impression my firend lived in JAX well he lived in orange park...not jax in orange park is very far away from down town. its fast if you are driving well I wasn't at the time and it would take me 3 hrs to get places. I lived in many cities thats why I can say this with confidence that saying you live in a city yet you live in the out skirts is miss leading to ppl who never been there b4. I grew up in bmore towson was far howevr there is good public transpartation to get there if need be. judging form most of you guys comments most of you dont live anywhere within walking distance from ATL which affends you when I say you live in BFE. If your address dont have atlanta, ga thebn you dont live in ATL simple as that.

Let's face it- most people are geographically stupid!
So, the more general the better.

Want complicated? Try this;
I live within the city limits of Johns Creek. Have an Alpharetta Zip code- but I'm closer to Roswell than either Alpharetta or Johns Creek.

Because its the GREATER ATLANTA AREA...lol..its just much easier to say then, "I live 5 minutes south of Atlanta in...."...It's all considered the Atlanta area so why no say it?
