Default What the commute from tyrone or fayetteville to downtown or midtown weekdays?

I am considering Tyrone, Fayetteville, Smyrna, maybe Mableton
all of which are in different directions from ATL...i am curious about the commute for Tyrone and Fayetteville...I like their school systems...but do not want to be in traffic for 2 hrs everyday.
thanks

Depends on how far off the interstate you're starting from, and what time you're leaving. During peak times, that could be an hour commute, especially to midtown.

FWIW, Smyrna and Mableton are adjacent to each other. Same area.

I used to do the Fayetteville/Midtown commute. Lived on south end of Fayetteville (off South Jeff Davis) and went to Spring & 16th Streets. Worked 7 am to 4 pm. With no traffic problems, commute was an hour - door to door. That was a few years ago.

And that's leaving early enough (both directions) to miss the main brunt of the rush hour traffic....

I leave Newnan (which is about 15 miles SW of Tyrone) commute to the Chamblee area. I leave at 7:15 to 7:30 and it takes about 1 hour. To downtown is takes about 45 minutes.
