Any areas like Peachtree City in North Atlanta??
I would love to live in Peachtree City, but our jobs will be in North Atlanta. The commute will be too far (over 55 miles) and it is not possible on a daily basis. I'm disappointed. Does anyone know of areas/suburbs/incorporated towns/etc. like PTC - outside of North Atlanta? We don't want to live in the city or "feel like" we live in the city. Commuting, in general, is not a problem. We like PTC for the safety and the small town feel. Any suggestions? In advance, many thanks!

For master-planned areas like Peachtree City (but on a smaller scale) and in North Atlanta, check out...
1. Windward in Alpharetta (North Fulton County)
2. Towne Lake in Woodstock (South Cherokee County)
3. Legacy Park in Kennesaw (North Cobb County)
4. Hamilton Mill in Northwest Gwinnett County
In addition, there are a host of country clubs and very large swim/tennis communities on the Northside that can give you a "Peachtree City-like" feel.
I hope this helps! Good Luck!

What exactly about PTC are you interested in replicating? Other than the golf cart paths, there's really nothing unique about the area that's not found in most master planned developments. If it's the gol cart paths that you're looking for, I don't think you'll find them in many other places.

I do think that Windward is the closest thing to PTC that you will find on the northside.

We will be working
in the North part of the city. I don't know the exact area, but it's the north part of the city. Do you have more suggestions? If yes, I'd love to hear them.
Thank you!!

You don't know the address of your work? Or what company it is? That would make a big difference. "North part of the city" could be anywhere from Acworth over to Dacula really.

work location
It's in the zip of 30328 in the North part of the city. Forgive me for being so vague...I'm just not familiar with the city - at all. This is kinda scary for me...but we're stepping out in faith Any suggestions are welcomed and gratefully accepted.

After 55 in North Atlanta
There are a number of communities in North Atlanta that you may link. Del Webb has one on the North East side. (Gwinnett). Levitt and Sons had one in Canton, they went under, but someone else is opening it back up now. Good luck in your search.
