Default 2nd Largest Mall Owner (w/Atlanta properties) files for Chapter 11...
Signs of the times....

General Growth Properties owns around 200 malls around the U.S., and they have filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Here in the Atlanta area, their site lists them as owning Cumberland Mall, Northpoint Mall, Southlake Mall, Perimeter Mall, and the Shoppes at Rivers Crossing (the Shoppes are in Macon).

Cumberland Mall is not part of the bankruptcy filing. It's jointly owned with another company.
