They dont have to be like us but lets get serious taking care of a man chasing around college students in the heart of downtown atlanta yelling " I know you got a nametag n#gga!" is an issue that should not be there
|
That could VERY easily happen on any college campus. GSU has a large campus police staff that works very hard to identify those that don't belong on campus and move them along, so it's not the common occurence that you make it out to be. It's not an issue at GSU.

Oh...well...someone accused me of flying off the handle at "pless", so I assume that I disagreed with "pless". It must not have been all that important to me - and I don't recall flying off the handle.

GSU police are pathetic. Ive seen them sit on their bums as students are harassed by bums

Ey I am a bookworm to the fullest, my second day of living here I went to Central and go my Atlanta-Fulton Library Card, but I go to the library to check out material. If I am visiting how will I check out material and bring it back? The OP is not a visitor.

That's just not true...if you had a negative experience with campus police then okay, but GSU police provides many services in addition to student security - security escorts, building security, etc. Crime on GSU campus is not common, and that can be verified through statistical reports. Records
I assume you filed a complaint about the officers ignoring their job duties...right? Conduct and Professionalism

Wow...you definitely speak the truth and come with hard facts much to the dismay of the many Atlanta Detractors that regularly flock to this board....I applaud you for your diligence. Get Em Deacon! And continue to preach on .

Thanks for the encouragement. Some people seem to think I get "bent out of shape" and defensive about the city...but I just try to present factual information in response to some of the false and/or exaggerated junk. The truth needs to be told.

If all these downtown vagrants really wanted a job they wouldn't choose to be there. The vast majority of jobs in "Atlanta" are outside of downtown.
Honestly, whether you feel sorry for these people or not is irrelevant to the fact they they shouldn't be there, end of story. The only thing keeping them there is the churches and government agencies in the area which give handouts.
I've been to poorer countries and there people will actually try and sell you something and make an effort to at least provide you with some service/product. Here they are just flat out BUMS.
The ones standing outside Home Depot are the ones that really deserve the boast of help, but you won't ever see any churches handing stuff out over there.
