Social Circle?
What can anyone tell me about Social Circle? Is it a small town?

Yes, Social Circle is a small town about 1 hr east MOL from Atlanta's city center. It is IMO a very charming and quintessential Southern town. It is also the home of the best Southern buffet in the state, the Blue Willow Inn. Folks from Atlanta drive over to the BWI all the time.
My uncle and aunt lived in Social Circle for many years and loved it.

And now, Social Circle is considered the very edge (eastside) of Metro Atlanta.
It also has its own, small, separate school system...good!

Social Circle is a growing little town, it just annexed over 1,500 acres of Newton County land right beside I-20 and there are talks of major commercial developments along that stretch, it's city limits now cover two counties Walton/Newton, and they have the Blue Willow Inn which has some of the best southern cooking you'll find anywhere.

I am a single mother with three elementary aged children relocating from Murfreesboro, TN for a job in Conyers. I am considering Social Circle, Covington, and Conyers. Can anyone tell me the pros/cons for this area? School systems and commute(traffic)?

And when driving through Social Circle make sure you travel the posted speed limit. They have once Police Car, maybe two now and you will be welcomed by the local officer.

I love Social Circle! We lived in Monroe, also part of Walton County. Social Circle has a really cute historical downtown...oh and plus Blue Willow Inn that someone mentioned, YUM!
