I don't "know" the apartments well other than by driving by on a regular basis (at least once a week for business reasons), but I know the general area pretty well (Southlake mall area). I believe the apartments are about a decade old by now (they are considered newer ones for the area in general). It is very convenient area to get to the interstate but my first thought would be how often are break-ins and other petty crime. The C-Tran bus goes through there, too. Given the fact that lots of apartments near that area are pretty aged, the ones on that road are somewhat newer in general. You could probably ask the apartment complex about how often they deal with crime or other issues, they probably won't tell much, but never hurts to ask. As you probably know form reading here and reading online, Clayton county as a whole has a deservedly bad reputation for crime.
Did you read the reviews of the apartments at apartmentratings.com? - I would start with some of those to narrow down choices if you want to rent in the area.
