Rumor has it that Benny's BBQ in Snellville has a good one as does AJ's in Marietta. If we're ever in the area we'll check them both out, but probably won't make a road trip for one.
I don't understand why they can have Po Boys in Huntsville, but they're so hard to come by in Atlanta. I think Atlanta's closer to the ocean, isn't it?

I did a quick Yahoo search for Po Boy Atlanta that resulted in dozens upon dozens of different restaurants.

Apparently Atlanta is not 'close enough' to the ocean.
While I am wishing--I will wish for more Schlotskys. Love the smoked turkey on jalapeno bread--very, very tired of most of the chains. Irritated at the local Panera for decline in quality/quantity.
<evil grin> I used to love the onion soup but the last time I ordered it was the last time I will ever order it from Panera.
A good soup place would be nice.

There's a seafood restaurant in Destin called Dewey Destin. Totally without atmosphere of any kind. An absolute dive, but the best fried seafood I've ever had. Fair prices. Great for the kids. Right on the water.
Can you tell I'm dying for some seafood right about now.
|
I'll have to try that restaurant in Destin, we always go to The Lucky Snapper when we are down there. Great view and good oysters
Maybe a Jack n the Box restaurant?

In fact, Pampas was kind of gross. They brought some unimpressive looking raw meat to the table and asked us to choose our steaks.
I believe Fridays are "tango night" at Pampas, too. I've never seen a place in Argentina that mixes meat and milongas.
There were a couple of more authentic places in Gwinnett (The Gaucho Grill), but they closed last year.

How about some Peruvian Chicken places and Persian style Kabab places? I'd like to see more of those type places. More Indian restaurants would be nice too.

Not a fan of Indian food. In & Out would be cool, and as for other fast food joints, I'd like to see more Bojangles, as well as Jack in the Box & Whataburger (both have locations two hours away).

Definitely not what the guy is looking for, if he wants anything like a true German beer garten. The only place for anything like that is in Helen, oddly there are no real beer garten places around atlanta that I am aware of.

Of course, it isn't "authentic" enough for you.
