If you're into an authentic German food experience you should try Gasthaus in Cumming: http://www.gasthaus.com. We recently found this place and it really made us feel like we were back in Munich. You know the food is good and authentic when all the Germans in Atlanta frequent the place! We have a large German population around Alpharetta/Cumming because of the Siemens location here, and they all seem to have found this little gem. There is even a little biergarten out back, which has been packed in this nice weather. You should give it a try; it's a little out of the way for some people but if you like German food, it's excellent. It doesn't look like much from outside, but you won't be disappointed.

YBF, there is a Dominican restaurant right on Buford Hwy very near downtown Norcross. Sorry, but I can't recall the name. They do a pretty brisk business there, so it may be worth checking out.

Well if you figure out the name let men know. Is this place good? Is this a sit down restaurant or takeout?

^Sitdown. I think they have a buffet at lunch.
I'll be out that way today - I'll pass along the name later.

Bill and Bob's Roast Beef.
A good non-chain ice cream place (sorry, but Jake's is horrible).

YBF - The Dominican restaurant in Norcross is Mi Pilon. It's on Buford Hwy, just North of the traffic light at Cemetery Street.
If it's any indication, the parking lot was full when I went by!

I'd love to see a Burmese restaurant. The food is kind of like a cross between Indian and Thai. Does anyone know of one in Atlanta?
