DeaconJ - This month Atlanta Magazine has a profile on Buford Hwy, and they mention a Korean BBQ place. I know there are several.
The main difference (other than the aforementioned soy) is that YOU cook your own meat on a grill set in the middle of the table.
It is VERY good!

Good luck in finding a good BBQ place in Atlanta... I have yet to find one. I am partial to NC style bbQ, chopped whole hog slow pit cooked...with just a tad of vinegar.. brunswick stew, hash, and white bread.
BBQ in Atlanta is all over the place... texas, Memphis and alabama styles predominate.

How about a Filipino Restaurant?
With the sizeable filipino community in Atlanta, I'm surprised there is not one, if there is, I have not found it.

Ahh, Filipino cuisine. Good ole' days. When we were in the Philippines, my mother's sister (she was originally from the Philippines before my grandparents adopted her) had bought a whole pig and cooked it for us. She was making some lechon dumplings & noodle soup with piton on a banana leaf. It was awesome.

What is the supposed appeal of In-And-Out Burger? After hearing a lot about them, we made a stop last year in Tucson. It tasted like a typical fast food burger, albeit one that took forever to make.

Have you tried Dusty's? I think it's great, and it's Eastern Carolina style.

It's weird, Mattie. They have a cult-like following out West.
I think the main thing is that they are always made fresh, when ordered (hence the wait). They also supposedly pay more than McD's, etc.
I think they're okay, but I much prefer another L.A. import we now have - Fattburger!

I have a friend who loves Carrabba's italian Grill. She claims it's much better than Olive Garden, or Macaroni Grill. We don't have any in No. Fulton. Are they worth a trip to Marietta?
