Home in 30307 Zip Code (Moreland: house, elementary school, zoning)

Just south of the railroad tracks and Inman park there is an area which is still in the 30307 zip code. I assume this area is not as nice but being close to Inman park is it a decent area or would it be classified as a really bad areas. Would be interested in comments. Thanks.

What street is it on? South of the tracks but west of Moreland is Cabbagetown. East of Moreland is Kirkwood.

Both have a lot to recommend them. But if you're wanting to be zoned to Mary Lin I think you're out of luck because I think the zoning line is Dekalb Ave.

Thanks for the info. The home is on Marona street which is east of Moreland so its in Edgewood. How is this area.

Yeah, I guess it's officially Edgewood...Kirkwood is a little further east.

It's an okay area. Kirkwood is probably a little further along the gentrification spectrum than Edgewood, with the elementary school rapidly improving.

I'm not all that sure about that particular location other than it's located very close to the pie factory, which means you'll get the benefit of having air that smells like cookies/pies several times a day. We can smell that factory from our house on McLendon....

I know there is some new developments off LaFrance Street so I am guessing Marona St benefits from that, too.
