Default Teens who are NOT involved with sports?Acworth Cartersville,White,Woodstock???

Hey everyone! We are visiting the area next weekend. We will be relocating from LI NY.

We are looking at several homes in the following towns Acworth
Woodstock, White and Cartersville.

My teen and tween aged children are not into competitive sports. They are more involved with Arts, the environmemt, biking, photography, and gymnastics. My 13 y.o. daughter is interested in cheer, but mainly as an extension of her gymnastics and dance aptitude, not because she is a great football fan.

In short my children are a little arty and off-beat. They (especially my sons) dress a bit more rock than preppy.

In a neighboring district on Long Island, sports are such a big deal that they would probably be considered weird, drugy or gay - which is not at all the case.

I am a little worried that they will be marginalizes for their lack of interest in team sports.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

P.S. We are a very tolerant family.
I am in no way putting down High School sports - I was a Varsity Cheerleader and my huspant had letters in track and basketball.
I am also NOT against gay people in anyway. But my kids are not oriented that way.

LOL! There are MANY kids who are like your kids and I doubt they will have many problems. Cartersville has a very good gymnastic program if that helps and I'm sure the schools in the Acworth area have some good programs.

Hi. Same situation. My 10 year old is musical and Long Island is not a fit. We're close to putting in a bid for a home in Woodstock. I LOVE the area.
