Where can I find a good Farmer's Market?
Coming from the Washington DC area, we had a great DC Farmer's market you could buy food that was already prepared as well as fresh fish, chicken, beef etc., also you could buy handbags as well as body oils. Could anyone tell me if there is a market in the area that has all of these things? I have been to Buford Market I love it but I would like to buy my meat fresh (not saying that there's is not) I would like to be able to have them to slice my bacon and cut my turkey wings etc., If not at the market where can I buy good Muslim body oils?
Thank you

In the Atlanta area you should go to the Your Dekalb Farmer's Market in Decatur. It's gigantic and will have most of the things you are looking for. They do not sell anything but food so you won't get oils and handbags but you will get a great choice of foods..They have a fresh fish and meat dept, cheeses of all kinds, grains, spices, vegetables from all over the world and fruits and breads and good deals on cut flowers too..it's an amazing place..check it out

I would have to agree with Opal. The Dekalb Farmer's Market on E. Ponce is your best bet. It is a very awesome place to get fresh foods. There is also one on Old Dixie Hwy in Forest Park. I love going there for my yellow watermelons.

The Buford Highway Farmer's Market is awwwwesome!!! Look it up on yelp.com. It's gotten some pretty great reviews especially sense it had recently been re-done. I like the Hispanic Bakery section, with those mouth-watering churros!
Plus there are aisles upon aisles of country-specific stuff from the world over, so I am thinking there should be something in there for Muslim body oils. It will be somewhat busy on the weekends, but in my honest opinion seeing the bustlin' action and the diversity is the whole fun in being there.
I will also throw in Super H-Mart & the Gwinnett International Farmer's Market, although those are bit more Asian influenced.

Third vote for Dekalb farmer's market.
Your Dekalb Farmers Market - A World Market
One note: last time I was there, I recall them taking cash or debit only. Odd.

Anyone else bothered by the fact that the Dekalb "Farmer's Market" is not really a "farmer's market" but just an "international supermarket"?
I had a friend come to town and we were talking about it. Farmer's Markets are usually outdoor with booths of vendors selling their own goods. Buford and Dekalb are large supermarkets which import all of these things and sell them under one roof. A very different concept.

I don't mind that its not covered its a great market. I look for Organic Fruit, Veggies, and meat. Dekalb offers that at great prices. Buford Highway hardly had another Organic Stuff.
