Uh oh, What do you mean "usable public transit"? I will be moving to Atlanta soon and have been planning to use the Marta often - my employer will be paying for it, so I might as well!

I visited Atlanta briefly before accepting the job. I noticed there is quite a bit of sprawl but there are no natural boundaries. I have read about the proposed Belt Line which sounds like a pretty good idea.

Maybe you were referring to the buses?

Ok, no offense folks, but the past post in this VERY old thread was on 4/6/2007 - that's over EIGHTEEN MONTHS ago.

As a reminder to those browsing posts - the date of the last post is in the upper-left corner of each one. If you're browsing posts that are multiple pages into the room you're in, it's best to check the dates before posting a reply. Rather than reviving a very old and outdated discussion, start something new in your own words to get things going.

And anyway - another 150,000 people have probably moved to the area since the last post on this thread anyway (before the one that revived it) - so feel free folks to start a NEW conversation about the new population numbers if anyone has the estimate for this year.

Closing this one due to mold growing on it from age.
