Peachtree could be anywhere in the city really. Do you know where on Peachtree - what neighborhood?

Only on Peachtree Street?? Well, a lot of the good nightclubs are just near the corridor.
Opera is on Peachtree Street, and I have to say, it's one of the best nightclubs in the whole city.

Yeah your best bet for clubbing is the Crescent Ave. area.

On peachtree? Too many saditty places in the downtown/midtown area. I like Club 426 out in DeKalb County on Memorial. Reggae really gets the blood pumping, ya know? But it may be too "urban" of an area for some folks on here.

If you're on Peachtree, I agree that the whole Crescent Ave area (an area roughly between Peachtree St and W Peachtree St and 12th and 14th Sts with several clubs and restaurants) would be the best. Unfortunately our nightlife is not at all like it used to be when Buckhead was around, but if you just bar hop around there you should be able to get your fix. This may or may not be relevant to you, but it's Atlanta so I gotta be real. Friday night is usually more hip hop and r&b, Saturdays its usually more Top 40, and it draws those respective crowds. Whether I agree or not with that dynamic that's the way it is in the city.
You could also hop over to Loca Luna nearby on the other side of Peachtree (it's off of Juniper) I've often gone without a cover and they play nice, live Latin music and have great tapas.

Loca Luna moved when Viewpoint went up, its now off Monroe and not really walkable from the Crescent clubs.
If you do go to Crescent you can easily walk to several different clubs. Here are the ones I usually frequent:
Atlanta Night Club, Atlanta Night Clubs, Atlanta Night Life | Opera Atlanta (the biggest by far, usually $20 cover)
CosmoLava (2 smaller clubs connected together, $10 cover gets you in both)
DOOR 44 ATLANTA (usually free or $10)
LEOPARD LOUNGE (usually free or $10)
Most of these clubs have a good mix of people both Friday and Saturday, but check whatever type of music is being played on their sites as that largely determines who shows up. Depending on your group (enough females) you can get in free at the right times.

I'm a clubber. I would check out Opera and Sutra (that's the Crescent Ave clubs) Also, on Fridays: Dolce/Ten Pin (they are in Atlantic Station and fun area to hang out); Saturdays--Utopia, Uptown (downtown on Courtland Ave), Luckie (also downtown near the Aquarium). Sunday: Definitely go to the Velvet Room--though it's kind of far.
All of these are more "upscale urban"/black clubs. (I'm black, so I can say that. lol)

No way! Damn developments...I loved that location! The spot was perfect for that vibe :-(.
Also, even though you're on Peachtree, you don't have to be relegated to Midtown...I haven't been really in Atlanta in a couple of years since I've been in school, but when I was there at least the Castleberry Hill area was poppin. If you drive straight down Marietta St behind the World Congress Center and hook a left on Fairlie, you'll run into it. The area isn't really clubby, but if you wanna do something chill for the after party, they got some hot lounges-- M Bar (less focus on food, more on people watching), Slice (really a pizza joint, but they play music and it's lively), Pearl (tapas and patio), and some spot they opened near Pearl (food and outdoor patio). I don't know if Noir is open around there anymore, but that was nice as well. Regardless, if you go to Castleberry Hill you've got options.
Shout (two level bar/lounge, nice outdoor patio overlooking Peachtree) is also near Crescent Ave, and that was pretty cool too.

Great suggestions. The place near Pearl you're referring to is "255"---and Noir is closed, unfortunately. I really liked that place.
