Why does America hate Mike Vick?
Been reading a few blogs about Mick Vicks release, many Falcons fans wish Blank would keep him on the team. Certain fans want to keep him and some want him gone. The ones that want him gone have this evil animosity toward the guy. Some fans want Vick to comeback and be a success in the league.
Personally I will be cheering for the dude, where ever he goes. Where do you think Blank will send him, who actually needs him? I know Vick did a lot for Atlanta sports, can Matt Ryan do the same? I like Matt Ryan, but is he really the future? What if Matt Ryan gets injured? Id like to hear from all fans, especially the old schoolers.

Why the hell would you support a psychopath?! He BRUTALLY killed innocent animals and fought dogs! What he did was not only illegal but immoral. Would you also support rapists and child molesters as long as they play football well?!

Micheal Vick is the 2nd most popular player behind Hank Aaron in Atlanta sports history. Many Falcons fans will still be cheering for him even after he is with another team. Blank says he is not keeping him, the city has to move on, but Blank better not send him to Tampa Bay, matter fact Blank needs to send Vick to the AFC!! That way Falcons would only see Vick once every years. That would be a painful game for me to watch, Vick vs Falcons....dont want to see it. Jets, Raiders, Bills, Dolphins & Chiefs could use Vick. I hope the Jets or Dolphins get him. People know why Vick really gets hated on though. He was a great player. He filled the Dome. He had the endorsements and everything. Hopefully he can find success. The Falcons is Matt Ryans team now. Thats the penalty for vick decisions. I wish him well and not wish him to fail.

He was convicted and spent 2 yrs in jail as well as lost millions. If he's seeking redemption, let him be. People often pay far less for crimes against humans and its not like he's going into a career as a teacher or dog breeder. Sure dogs are adorable and man's best friend not deserving such treatment but last time I checked that can of Alpo dogs get every day has plenty of animals in it that didn't get such wonderful treatment themselves. Unless your pet is as vegan as you are, then animal cruelty is a simple part of life.
What exactly makes him a psychopath? Maybe he's a spoiled man-child w/ too much money and some issues w/ violence but then again there are millions of Americans who take great pride in watching MMA where guys beat each other into bloody pulps. Maybe it's a primal thing but America thrives on it. As a society we idolize athletes who are immensely brutal to one another and he played the game better than anyone else. Why wouldn't you expect him to act that way off the field when given millions in cash and a ton of idiot leechers he called friends?

Rapist and Child Molesters? You sound pretty angry. I still do not understand your hatred for the man. You are calling the man a PSYCHOPATH? Isn't he doing community service at a construction site? I doubt they would allow a black PSYCHOPATH near those types of tools. The dog fighting thing is not immoral to everyone, just you and others like you. I do not hate the man, I wasn't even a fan of his prior to the trouble, I'm not from Atlanta. I am a fan now though due to all the personal hatred. I hope he does well.

There is a reason I hate the Falcons and their fans. Sure, Vick is a good player...but wanting to sacrifice the integrity of the team just to have a good player? ...and SUPPORTING Vick even after he was found guilty?
Give me a break. Atlanta shouldn't even have an NFL franchise if they are going to act that way.

So you think dog fighting is OK? If that's true, I'll just keep my mouth shut and not hurl various insults at you.
I agree with the previous poster and even though I'm a huge sports fan, I'm sick and tired of sports celebrities getting a pass on their illegal and unethical activities, just because they can throw a ball better than most of us can.
Vick was convicted of felonies, and he served his time. Maybe he's not officially diqualified from playing in the NFL, but I hope the NFL teams and owners boycott him. He had everything in the world going for him and because of his cruel actions, he threw it all away. He got what's coming to him and I hope he never plays again.

So if someone is found guilty, they should never be supported again?

I haven't heard of any evidence of Vick's contrition or remorse. Have you?
Just because you're caught and found guilty in a court of law doesn't mean you get automatic forgiveness for what you've done. He has to earn that from those willing to give it.
