I believe that most of Sagamore Hills falls into Decatur 30033, and a small part into Atlanta 30345 (both are unincorporated DeKalb County). Either way, it's a great neighborhood. If this area interests you, also check out Leafmore Hills, Briarcliff Woods, Echo Woods, Echo Lake, Briarlake, Breckinridge and Amberwood. These neighboroods fall within a larger area referred to as Oak Grove (check that elem school's rating as well). IMO it is one of the best areas of Atlanta in which to live.
Buckhead loosely covers the northern quarter of the city of Atlanta, and has a number of elem school districts within it's limits ie Jackson, Morris Brandon, E. Rivers, Sarah Smith...most are very good. Brookhaven is in the DeKalb County school district. The only elem school I'm acquainted with within its' area is Ashford Park, about which I've heard pretty good things.
