After review, I have re-instated a couple of the comments that were starting to stray off topic and get "poking" at each other because they haven't gone overboard yet. you need to stay on topic , or the thread will be closed if things continue to stray too much or bickering takes over. If the mayor has no say then what's the big deal? All a prospective mayor has to do is remain neutral on the subject and defer to state if pushed on the subject.

Why is this an issue in a mayoral race... mayors have no impact on that State decision... and considering that this is Georgia... it'll be a while before gay marriage comes here anyway.
