Default From Chantilly, VA to Duluth

HI there,

My husband may have a job opportunity in Duluth, GA. I wanted to know if you could recommend areas for us to look for homes. I have 2 children, one that is 2 and one that is 5 months. Schools are important, as well as a nice community to live in. Currently, we live in a great development with tons of playgrounds and pools. Very family friendly with lots to do around the area. Very close shopping. In fact there are 2 grocery stores in our development alone, along with hair salons, Dr's restaurants, you name it.. Is there any areas similiar in Duluth or in the surrounding areas? We are looking for single family homes in the 300-350k's.

I am really nervous to make the move so any help you can offer is greatly appreciated.

I'm not too far from you in Oakton right next to 66. From Georgia originally but not the Atlanta area. Duluth is nice and for that price range I'm thinking some fairly large houses near the Gwinnett county/Fulton/Forsyth border. I think it's Johns Creek or something. The ATL folks would know more than me. Boy oh boy you're going to love what you can get for $350K in GA compared to the crazy housing prices in Northern VA. Good luck!

Check the area in/around Murphy Chandler Park. I"m biased as that is where I live. My wife works in Duluth. Under 20 minute commute.

I can be at two grocery stores within 3 minutes, Lowes within 4, Perimeter Mall area shops/restaurants in 6 minutes, Buckhead shopping/restaurants within 10 minutes.

You are just 2 minutes from the regions largest hospitals.

You also will want to check out Dunwoody...also close to Duluth.

I am not sure where you live or work, but I can surely say that not all Georgians are bias. I work with Asians and live around Asians; however, I am African-American. I get along with everyone and love the diversity we have here in the Duluth area.

What is the saying:

"Diversity is the period between the first non-European-American arriving and the last European-American leaving".
