Hi guys,
Just got transferred to Marietta (Kennestone Hospital area). I live in Canton and I’m not quite ready to move. Any tips about how to navigate 75/575? Thanks! |

Coming out of Canton, take 575 South. When it crosses Barrett Pkw, get in the right lane and stay there. It will merge with 75 S but your lane will exit right toward Canton hwy in less than a mile. The exit road will merge with a little traffic from your left from Canton Hwy, but soon leads to a fork.
Stay right to exit to Cobb PKway ("Old 4 lane") Move left to continue to Canton Hwy/Marietta. Once gone left, exit right to go to Church Street Extension or stay center to continue to Church Street and the Hospital and on to Marietta. Going back to Canton, enter Canton Hwy going North and hold to the right through the first exit. That exit road has two forks. Take the right fork on the first (follow signs) and then then immediately move left (follow the signs) to 575. It will first loop around to 75 N. Stay in right lane as it will exit right onto 575 in about a mile. Easy both ways. You are never really into I 75 mainstream traffic either way as both times you are on almost dedicated side lanes. Expect merging traffic on 75 but you do not need to change lanes either way. |

Hmmm, if I had posted that question, I think I would be looking for "back roads". I guess if you work at the hospital, you might be working at non-peak hours and don't have to worry about the traffic.
If anyone does know a way around 575/75, I'd be interested in knowing a back way. What about Bells Ferry Road? |
