Default growing cactus in northern georgia.

does the weather and soil support it? i grow alot of cactus here in southern california but im wondering if i can in Northern Georgia.

The climate is changing, and certain types of stuff like that will grow here now whereas it wouldn't a few years back.

I've seen a few yards here with the basic "Prickly Pear Cactus" clumps that seem to do well, as some of them are pretty large in size. The taller cactus I haven't seen around as much but if you protect them from direct cold I'm sure they would do ok. Even palms are appearing here of certain types. The "Windmill Palm" will grow here, though they cost a lot.

your not the first person to say pickly pear cactus grow well out there. maybe thats the only type that than... hmm
