Question One bedrooms under $900 in Buckhead....?

I am currently living in Vinings with my parents, but will be graduating from nursing school this summer. I would like to move into the city, but after looking at apartments in Buckhead, Midtown, VH, and other trendy areas, I'm a little sticker shocked. I've been here almost four years and thought I had a grip on the cost of living in those areas, but clearly I was wrong. I will be working as a nurse at Northside or Peidmont, but don't want to live above my means right out of school. Can I get a one bedroom under $900? Am I being unrealistic? And I don't mean a studio. Help!!

Why not look in Smyrna and West Midtown? Since you know the Vinings area, drive down Atlanta road towards the city and you'll see so much going on. It's a great area and you're likely to get much more of a deal than in Midtown or Buckhead.

I worked there while I was a resident in Med school. It was great.
