I'm moving in a couple weeks, and thinking of switching to Charter. They have what looks to be some very good promotial deals. I imagine most cable is the same, but does anyone have them for an internet provider? Can yall tell me if the internet is reliable, fast?

Thanks.

We used Charter in Smyrna when we had a rental house in late 2004 and early 2005, and both the service techs and the service itself were great! I was very pleased with them overall, and wish I could use them where I live now.

I hear good and bad about Charter. I think this is the case for most any ISPs. You can get the nitty gritty at Broadband Reports:

I'm disgusted with Charter, but we are locked in - only way to get decent TV, and DSL just doesn't "do" it for us given the websites we go to.

Business accounts cost 'way too much and there are too many options that we just wouldn't use.

Charter is in bankruptcy anyway, and there is no guarantee they will be the same after they come out of it.

Cost-wise, getting HSI and cable together is much cheaper than Dish Network or DirecTV plus a DSL account.

SIGH!
