Default Moving to Atlanta area from Savannah-Tell me about Mountain Park in Fulton

A friend raved raved about it but I would like some impartial observations. I like what I see online.

A funky little community wrapped around a lake that feels it should be 100 mi north of where it is. I love it.

LovinDecatur has a great eye for the best communities in the Atlanta area. If she gives a place the thumbs up, you can take it to the bank.

Good schools from the looks of the test scores. I have a 9th grader and a 3rd grader so schools are important. We have loved the funky neighborhood here in Savannah and really didn't want to go to some generic subdivision. My husband will be working in Roswell so that is where we want to live even though the intown neighborhoods were more our style.

That's why my friend mentioned Mountain Park.

I have not, yet. But I hope to check it out sometime this summer! I may go for a walk today in the Emory neighborhood again you suggested last fall. I love that little area.

Have you considered the Historic Roswell area, too? There are some charming looking neighborhoods there, IMO.
