My mom and I are planning on attending the Braves vs Phillies game July 2nd at Turner Field. This is my first Braves game at Turner Field. I have several questions about the crowds and crowd noise at Turner Field.

1. Is fan apathy still an issue at Turner Field? Is it less of an issue with the Phillies or is apathy still the same?

2. I read there are few sellouts at Turner Field. Is that true? On average what is the crowd size for a Phillies game since they are division rivals?

3. How loud are the fans there? Are there seats/sections of the stadium that are louder than others? Are there seats/sections of the stadium that are quiter than others? I want to be able to hear the announcer in the stadium and excessively loud fans get kind of annoying.

I went to Turner a couple of years ago when the Red Sox came to town. The stadium was like 70/30 Red Sox fans. As a Red Sox fan myself, I felt comfortable. I am not sure if with the Phillies it will be that bad though. Red Sox, Yankees, Cubs... yes, the Braves fans will be a minority.

I never saw a sell-out at Turner. Maybe with the Yankees/Red Sox this year, but I doubt the Phillies will. If your seats end up being too noisy, just move to some empties. By the second or third inning, the ushers don't care.
