Where to buy furniture and appliances
Folks -
Any recommendations on independent stores that sell furniture and appliances (washer/dryer) firstly in the Smyrna/Mableton area and possibly outside of that area.
I'm just trying to determine if there are other "good" options besides the major retailers.

The best independent appliance store is Baumann's Appliances located on Chatahoochee Ave. They are a family owned business and I have used them for about 20 years. Their customer service is unmatched!

I really like ApplianceMart and they do have a store in Smyrna. Not a local store perhaps but different then the typical places people go to for appliances.

We picked up a sectional, coffee table, and a couple of chairs from one of the furniture warehouses on Veterans Memorial Highway. The stuff was well-built (we're not small people), and everything is still tight and happy four years later. Ah, here they are:

You should check out Bostwick's in Thomaston, which is kind of far away but worth it because they deliver for free if you buy a certain amount of merchandise.
My husband and I have done temp work there and the furniture is GORGEOUS! They don't have appliances but they have everything else, including beds/mattresses. There are 7 floors full of furniture!
The salespeople are all great and have been working there for decades, and it is a family owned and run store.
They also usually have great sales going on and may have something going for the 4th of July.

On the east-West connector they have the Home Depot Scratch and dent store. Yeah it's a major retailer but they do seem to have so decent deals.

That's the store which is on the E/W Connector just east of Austell Road, isn't it? |
