Im late but my folks are doing well. My mom does say they will work you like a slave though lol.. I think they re-opened hiring again because from what I understand they have been having quite a few walk outs. I guess people didnt really realize what they were getting themselves into.

Yes, they do work you. Mandatory 10 hour days and every other weekend work. My wife has a relative there. Yes, there have been people who left and some fired for various reasons.
He's looking for other work without the long hours.

Default Kia in Ga

I applied in November of 2009 and I got a call (Dec 29th) for an interview on January 7, 2010. I have worked many different places and finished Surgical Tech. courses at Flint River Tech .College, but "I can't find a job in this field. I currently work at a grocery store stocking groceries and make $8.50/hr. If hired Kia would start me off at $14.90/hr. Grocery store has zero benefits, zero vaction, and I'm only working about 32- 34 hrs a week. The only draw back I see is the drive of a little over an hour. It's about 60 miles from Thomaston to the plant. I am going to car pool if hired. Atleast I can earn enough money in the next couple years to pull myself out of debt. Anyone else have anything else on Kia?

Good luck with the Kia thing! If it gets bad enough, contact a union rep. I know 'union' is a dirty word these days, but if you guys had a union you'd be making more money and have a whole lot more protection. Just a thought.

I've been through the interview process. Can anyone tell me how long it took to get a call back for the second phase of the hiring process (working the 40hrs)?
