Had to check real quick to make sure that wasn't my home garage when I saw the headline. Whew.

Ga Tech Parking Garage
I stayed here last week and went in and out of the garage several times a day.
My husband was on his way to go to the garage but got delayed. When he went outside, he noticed helicopters circling and found out what had happened. Thank God for the person who delayed him or else he probably would have been in the garage at that time.

It's interesting that the construction company that had a part in the Botanical Gardens walkway that collapsed last year also are the ones that built this garage. Back during the Botanical Gardens disaster, some rumors online floated around saying that the construction company in question had "questionable" quality issues with numerous past projects, but the company owners dismissed these on TV I believe. This might get hairy for them now. Once can happen to anyone during a construction project - something like this however on top of it makes question marks pop up. Hopefully the so-far good luck with no victims will continue. If casualties are involved, things will get very heated over this.

I'm a student at the GT college of management and walked outside of my class on Monday and saw all the helicoptors and firetrucks/cop cars blocking off Spring St. Crazy Stuff.
