Leslie this is definitely an "employer's market" right now. The unemployment rate in GA right now is 9.5% and one of the highest in the nation. I am not sure what your desires are now but you may do well seeking two PT jobs in the customer service and/or call center industry and hope one of the two positions lead to a FT offer. Expect salary expectations to be low.

Have you looked into any bank teller positions? Your background could be well suited toward that occupation.

I know Kennesaw, GA is were a lot of call center jobs were located a few years ago.

Good Luck

For call center jobs, GA Power pays pretty decent from what I understand, so good luck to you in getting on. I am not sure where they were located, but from my bad memory, the GA Power call center was somewhere on the Southside, maybe Henry County?

It's actually approximately the 15th highest right now. That's still not very good.

9.5% is bad, but my state's at the top of the list. I'm a recent college grad, also looking for jobs in GA. I know the economy's bad everywhere. Are any companies that you know of hiring?
