Midtown apartments?
My husband and I are moving back to Atlanta from Phoenix at the end of the summer (we went to college there) and are currently in the very un-fun process of apartment hunting. My husband will be working in Midtown, so we are looking for something in that area or close to it (Grant Park, Va Hi, Little Five).
Does anyone have anyone good suggestions for apartment complexes? We are looking for either a one or two bedroom that's pet friendly (we have a small dog and a cat).

I used to live at the Wesley Townsend which is close to Piedmont Hospital just off Peachtree in midtown. They are pet friendly and the management is very good. It's a mid-rise building of about 14 stories. The building itself is about ten or fifteen years old I think and well maintained. The residents are respectful of others privacy and quite cordial. Noise was never a problem while I lived there (2007/8). Also the management hosts monthly parties throughout the year to encourage people to socialize. And they do a free continental breakfast every Saturday which is very popular. I thought it was a very good deal for the money when I lived there.

There's a Gables on East Rock Springs Road that's nice and new, and it's close to L5P and the Park, midtown, etc.

There's Virginia Highlands Apartments on Virginia Avenue right next to Piedmont Park.
Also, there is a new Gables on Monroe Drive where it curves near the interstate (west of Ansley mall). These are brand new and more expensive.
Also Highland View Apartments are on Ponce de Leon Place between Ponce de Leon Rd and Virginia Avenue.
Highland Walk Apartments are fairly new and are closer to Inman Park. These are more expensive than Highland View or Virginia Highlands apartments.
Try perennial properties website for several complexes in and around midtown/va. highlands.
Hope this helps

If you are interested in older, rehabbed apartments in those neighborhoods, I recommend this management company.

Try gables.com - they have a ton of really cool properties in that area.
