I live in Dallas, GA and commute to Atlanta M-F. I have had my mother to help me with my 7 year old in the past, but this summer she may be out of town helping her older brother in Alabama. I have been looking into the costs of summer care, but I am having a hard time seeing how I can afford $100-$125 a week.
I know that is really not a bad price, but that doesn't mean I can manage it. Do you know of any place that is still nice and neat, but allows options to lower the cost? Maybe I can bring his food, for example? If not, can you recommend a place that is great for the $100 a week price and I will try to come up with the funds?

I found some people advertising in-home childcare on Craigslist.com. At least you don't have multiple children to worry about!

No, but you do have to worry about who's watching your children all day, which is probably a far greater concern than price or "multiple children". I'd be hard-pressed to leave my kids with someone I don't know who I found thru Craigslist- especially if they were only charging me $20/day to watch them.......

I know that is really not a bad price, but that doesn't mean I can manage it. Do you know of any place that is still nice and neat, but allows options to lower the cost?
