Default Any Chicago Area Families that Have Relocated to Atlanta

Hi All - We are attempting to move to ATL from the Chicago area and have 2 kids - 4 and 2 in age.

We love Roswell and Alpharetta (probably Roswell first because of the historic downtown, river and densely wooded neighborhoods). We are also Jewish (I've seen the other posts about Jews in ATL, so Roswell and Alpharetta both seem fine...but please let me know if you've had any negative experience in either).

My questions are particularly for any families that have moved from the northern/NW/north shore area of Chicago. What are your thoughts? Do you love it? Is it what you expected? Are you happy with the public school systems? Do you feel as safe? Is it easy to meet other families due to the HOA's (we don't have them here - or at least most areas don't.)Thanks in advance!
