If you would have told me Coke was building a museum showcasing it's sodas, I would have thought it would have failed after a few years, but every single day I'm in downtown, I see a lot of people with Coke bags. What is the appeal of it? I went a long time ago and I didn't find it that exciting.

It's so popular that it literally carries so much of the tourist economy and energy in the downtown area. It's gotta be one of the most popular museums in the southeast easily. The amount of people going in and out on the weekends is insane. It's part of the reason there are so many new museums being built in that area.

If you went a long time ago, you must not have gone to the new World of Coke. Not everyone is from Atlanta, so it's a novelty to practically everyone else. Besides the all-you-can-drink Coke products, it's a great look at American pop culture over the last 150 years.

Do you understand how popular Coke products are? Up until this year, when Apple and Google surpassed them, Coca-Cola retained the #1 brand by value for 13 years straight. Now it's a not so paltry #3. It's a monster of a brand loved the world over.

With that brand comes fans who are loyal to the point of fanaticism. Aside from the curious tourist, these are the people who frequent the Coke museum.

I never go on my own. Once I've been there once, that's about it. We do have friends/family that come visit and when we take them downtown, that's one of the things we do.

And, honestly, I liked the old Coke museum better.

No. 1 most recognized trademark brand IN THE WORLD! Sold and enjoyed in every nation on earth EXCEPT FOR TWO -- Cuba and North Korea. More than 1.8 BILLION units sold EVERY DAY! Long and fascinating HISTORY. Universal and unmatched BRAND LOYALTY. A pop culture ICON that has survived the ages and stirs strong emotions in people around the globe!

And it all originated right here in little old, backward-ass JAWJA!

Agreed, one trip to the World of Coke is probably enough. The daily lines out the door are BIG EVIDENCE that Atlanta is indeed a BIG TOURIST TOWN! Those aren't locals standing in line -- they're visitors!

Atlanta gets a lot of hype around the country, maybe the world. Tourists come expecting to see all the attractions, only to discover that Atlanta doesn't have all that much to see. Therefore they end up at the WORLD OF COKE.That's how I found it. Having said that I did think it was fun and I enjoyed it. It was more interesting than CNN or the Carter Library.
