Default Woodstock - questions

Hello all. We are moving to Woodstock this weekend and don't know the area and its resources. Will you please share with me:
Good doctors (for thyroid; chiropractor and others); dentist; all types of restaurants; fun stuff; Volvo mechanic; pet stores; dog parks; etc.....**anything** and all is welcomed and appreciated. Even if I didn't list it, please suggest.

Many thanks!

Well, the best way to get to know a new city is simply to drive around. When you get here, don't use a GPS just go where ever you want. Sometimes the best way to learn your way around is to get lost. But to answer some of your questions, on Towne Lake Blvd there are many restaurants Chili's, Longhorn etc. There are also tons and tons of doctors and dentists offices. There is also a really big movie theater too.

What part of Woodstock are we talking about? There's a big difference between Towne Lake and the more rural eastern extent of Woodstock.

My wife goes to Canton Wellness Center on Marietta Hwy for her chiropractor, and uses an endocrinoligist in Alpharetta (there were none closer who were in our insurance plan). For pet stores, there's a Petsmart on 92 by the Target, and there's a smaller store down on Hwy 5 at East Cherokee in the Pulbix shopping center.

Thanks for the responses. Please keep them coming. I don't know where Towne Lake is. Ummm, we will be living what looks like between Holly Springs and Lebanon, on the east side of the 575. It looks like Towne Lake is on the west side. Perhaps we are more rural; I hope so. Will you tell me if we are, please?
Thank you kindly for all suggestions. We are grateful for any help.

"Lebanon" doesn't really exist anymore, other than as the name on the post office door....lol. It sounds like you'll be in an area of unincorporated Cherokee County, which is likely not technically in the city boundaries of Woodstock proper, but has a Woodstock zip code, and therefore a Woodstock address.

You'll have plenty of options for all the things you're looking for- there's downtown Woodstock just a few miles down the road, strip mall shopping all up and down 92 a mile or so south of that, the Towne Lake area just west of you a few miles, and shops scattered all around on Hwy 5, etc.

We take our dog to Hickory Flat Animal Hospital on East Cherokee Drive and have been very happy. I don't know if they deal with goats or chickens, but I know they can handle the dog and cats.

The area you'll be in isn't the more "rural" area to the east that Bob was referring to. If I'm not mistaken, he was referring to the far eastern areas, about a mile or two north of Highway 92, about five or so miles east from Downtown Woodstock along Arnold Mill Road or parts of Highway 140. Where you'll be is actually fairly developed, in and around the Toonigh Road, Sixes, Highway 5 area.
