I am looking to invest in a holiday condo in Buckhead. ( I live outside of the States) Buckhead because I love the upscale shopping and the fine dining. So far I love the Brookwood its beautiful, sheer elegance but the location is not the heart of buckhead which is making me hesitant but the units are large and plush just the way I like. Perhaps the gallery may be a better location for my needs but its not as plush. Sovereign and the Ritz Carlton are more than I can spend. Any suggestions. I am confused. I want a new contruction condo and I don't want to wait too long as I want to take advantage of the current market.

If you're wanting to be in the midst of it all I would suggest 10 Terminus Place, the pricing is a bit cheaper than the Ritz and significantly less expensive than Sovereign. Cousins (the developer) seems pretty set on their pricing, but you never know what type of deal they'll be willing to make.

I heard Terminus has been having a hard time selling their condos and that only 10-15 units have been sold so far.

What can you tell me about the Terminus as an investment buy. I intend to purchase around March. I'm really confused as its a lot of money to spend and I need independent advice. Obviously a realtor's opinion will not be unbiased.

Terminus just slashed their prices almost in half! I am taking a client today to see a 3 bedroom, 3 bath unit on the 15th floor that was listed for $801,900. The asking price is now $488,400!

Hopefully that will spur on some sales in the building!

Thank GOD I didn't buy. I would be pissssssed. I ended up leasing a condo in Midtown until I decide where to buy. I had looked at the 3 bedroom at Terminus with the HUGE patio. Asking price was $1,150,000 in June. I would love to know what they are asking now...

I just wish that Cousins would slash prices on ALL of their units at Terminus not just select units. More bad news for Novare and other developers, the financing bank for many projects in Atlanta has failed. The bank had over $500BILLION in loan exposure just in Atlanta. according to the Atlanta Business Chronicle. Condo lender Corus Bank fails - Atlanta Business Chronicle:

Any suggestions for townhomes? Preferably in midtown or South of it. I've got a friend that got a great deal on one around Centennial.

Liberty Park Townhomes in the City of Atlanta, north Atlanta, Fulton County $200s to $240s

^I have a friend that's closing on a property here...they appear to be reasonably priced.
