Default Which cities/states have you lived in or visited?

I know there are a good bit of implants living here so I figured it'd be interesting to see some of the places people here have been/lived.

Cities I've lived in

1. LaGrange, GA
2. Montgomery, AL
3. Washington, DC
4. Birmingham, AL
5. Huntsville, AL
6. Marietta, GA
7. Smyrna, GA

Cities I've visited

Miami, Tampa, Fort Lauderdale, Daytona Beach... well pretty much every city in Florida , Alabama and Georgia... Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, New York, Newark, Charlotte, Charleston, Memphis, Nashville, Little Rock, Jackson MS, New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Houston, Dallas, St Louis, Vegas, Los Angeles, San Diego, Pasadena(Rose Bowl 96'), Oakland/San Francisco, Chicago(my family origins), Detroit, Cancun, Jamaica(stay away from Kingston!!), Berlin... probably more I can't think of. One place I will definitely visit soon is Tokyo. Was actually supposed to go last year before I got laid off. From what I hear its one of the places on earth that's a must see. Kinda thought about Sydney but they have too many killer animals down there lol

Slow c-d boards day, eh? Okay, I'm game...

Lived:

Shakopee, Minnesota
Bloomington, Minnesota
Minneapolis, Minnesota [Dwtn, Uptown, Whittier, Northeast & Central neighborhoods]
Dunwoody, Georgia
Atlanta, Georgia [Fulton County, downtown on Mitchell Street/lofts]
Atlanta, Georgia [Dekalb County, Candler Park & Briarcliff/Toco Hills]
Decatur, Georgia [city of...]
Mounds View, Minnesota
White Bear Lake, Minnesota
Maplewood, Minnesota
Roseville, Minnesota
Shoreview, Minnesota
St. Paul, Minnesota [Eastside - Sunray-Battlecreek, Payne/Phalen, Greater Eastside]

++++++

Cities I've visited:

New York City, Manhattan [Columbia University & Times Square]
Chicago, Illinois [tourist stuff]
Austin, Texas
Washington, D.C.
Asheville, North Carolina [Blue Ridge Mountains]
St. Thomas & St. John's, U.S. Virgin Islands
Just about every mid-sized town in Minnesota & quite a few small towns
[Duluth, Brainard, Stillwater, Mankato, St. Peter, Alexandra, Hibbing, etc., etc...]
Cities throughout the midwest in North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin & Iowa
[Brookings, Madison, Eau Claire, Madison, Fargo, Des Moines, Souix Falls, East Troy, and on and on...]
Michigan, Mackinac Island & Door County
Arizonia, Lake Havasu & Phoenix
Nevada & California, just over the border from Lake Havasu - LOL
Canada, drove over the border and spent a night there - just to be able to say we've been out of the country - lame, I know...
Kansas City, St. Joseph's and Gallatin, Missouri
Lincoln, Nebraska
Columbus, Ohio [once spent a summer there with my Great Aunt, a prof at Ohio State University]
Florida - Cocoa Beach, Tampa, Orlando, St. Petersburg, Treasure Island [My dad's home for a time]
Georgia - Brunswick & Golden Isles [my husband's hometown], Macon [where his extend family lives], Helen, Savannah, Columbus, Athens, most of metro Atlanta

We've been through all the states/cities between Minnesota and Georgia/Florida repeatedly- we've made the road trip back and forth quite a few times in the twenty years since I first moved to Atlanta, which was shortly prior to my 21st birthday the week between Christmas and New Years... met my husband six weeks later on Valentine's Day, at a dive bar on Peachtree Street. :-)

I want to do more traveling... probably will once the kids are a bit older, for now we usually take vacations to stay with family and friends, and that's about it.... Nothing overseas, except the V.I., but that doesn't really count.

We're planning a trip to visit my mother's family's historical roots in Germany/Luxembourg in a couple of years - after my mother no longer is tied down with caring for her mother, so whenever that comes to pass we'll start making solid plans. I also have on my wish list Israel, Greece and Africa. My husband wants to go to England and Ireland. Liverpool is a must, my family tree on one branch has been traced back to a William Morris who was born in Liverpool in 1722 [no, not the designer, this William Morris was a cousin to Robert Morris, who signed the Declaration of Independence.]

My husband is begging for a trip to Las Vegas - maybe in March we'll do that for our anniversary...

We both want to do more traveling within the U.S., especially throughout the south.
