Good luck to them. Property value in Snellville has dropped like a sack of potatoes. I know several folks who just walked away from their houses and foreclosed on them to get out of Snellville because they couldn't sell.

I lived in Snellville for 10 years. It used to be a great place. Not anymore.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but what I am hearing is that unless you live in the Brookwood area then all other areas in Snellville suck. What about the Grayson area (Pharr elementary school - near Webb Gin)?

Well, the Grayson area is getting shaky. There's pockets that are really nice still, and others that are starting to be get taken down. I'd say it's still a nice play to live for about another 2-3 years. Then it'll be time to get the heck out of there too. They just widened 20 going heading into Grayson from Gwinnexico (Lawrenceville) so it won't be too long before Grayson is packed full of section 8 and thousands of illegal immigrants.

Dacula is a very nice place to live, and it's right on the edge of Gwinnett county (sound county as Snellville). The crime is VERY low (almost non-existant), parks are clean, etc etc etc. The worst thing you hear about happening over here is some 14 yr old kid getting caught shoplifting at the Walmart.

Actually the real reason that Snellville sucks -outside of the Brookwood/Grayson/WebbGinn Ave is becuase of HWY 78. It is very ugly and most of the original folks that lived there prior to the population explosion moved to places like Grayson, Lawrenceville/Grayson Dacula, Suwanee, and Cumming. That said, I know of people who live there, near Shiloh HS, and it's actually not bad. In fact it's pretty quiet. But the schools have gone down a bit mostly because of resource flight. If HWY 78 was different and not just an ugly, long, traffic-filled ride, the place would a different perception. The people. however, are not that bad.

Can you please explain to the readers why - in your opinion that the Grayson area is "shaky" and in 2-3 yrs will do down hill. Very strong statement without facts. What areas of Grayson are starting to be taken down. Please be specific.

Thats what I said in an earlier post in this thread. HWY 78 has brought all the garbage into Snellville.

There's a few other reasons I won't mention, because I don't want to offend anymore

I've posted it up before, and gotten smacks on the hands from moderators. Truth hurts, and some people can't take it lol.

Yes Dacula is awesome. It's a great place to raise a family. My 2 boys love it here.

What part of Dacula. Hamilton Mill/Mill Creek? Dacula HS? Archer HS (Lawrenceville address by Harbins Elementary, Tribble Mill Park)
