It does look like a separate city now. It has its own suburbs outside of downtown. The Lindbergh area feels like an inner suburb of downtown Buckhead. |

Actually, make sure you post then in the city vs city room - even though you're not comparing it to someplace else, per the room sticky that's where the skyscraper-themed threads belong now.

Love the Buckhead skyline---always take that drive after the toll---very impressive at night when driving in and the Marta happens to run by on the side. Feels like a REAL city.  *add light rain for special effect* |

If you're trying to stir the pot and induce strokes on other members of City-Data (not very hospitable of you), maybe I can blow out the fuse from under your burner before you have the chance.
Having been in that part of town at Christmas helping move more friends back up North, I happened upon Lenox Mall.
Based on my observations, I'm sure 2/3 of the buildings are vacant. Each tower is surrounded by parking lots and the usual half-deserted strip malls that populate Peachtree, West/East Paces Ferry and the other disorganized jumble of non-grid patterned streets in Buckhead.
Roving gangs of blue-jeans bandits are probably backing a van up to one of the buildings right now, making tomorrow's headlines for the AJC. |
