Default Commute time from Locust Grove to Macon

Hi everyone.

I have searched to forums, but I couldn't find results for my specific question.

In any case, I am moving to GA in a few months.
I am looking to live in Locust Grove and commute to Macon, GA.
Could someone tell me what the commute time would be on 75?
I work earlier hours so I would be leaving around 5:45-6:00 in the morning to go to work.

I get out of work at 3:30 so if someone could provide the commute time on the way back too I would appreciate it.

Thanks in advance!

Well, it's about 50 miles longer than I would choose. As long as the highway is running smoothly, it'll be about an hour BUT there are LOTS of trucks along that stretch at any hour of the day and it only takes one turning sideways to ruin your day. Kudos for starting well south of ATL...still one heck of a daily drive! Haven't been that way in quite a while but there has been periodic construction SOMEWHERE along that stretch since I moved to ATL almost thirty years ago!

Of course, it depends on where in Macon you'll end up as to any additional drive-time. Good luck!

Thank you so much for responding.
I figured as much and I truly don't mind around an hour or so drive (even a little longer). I just needed to know from someone who's somewhat familiar with the area.

Anything beats this Northern Virginia traffic where it takes me mostly an hour and a half to get home for approx 20+ miles. I don't mind the length of time as long as I'm still moving for the majority of it!

Thanks again!
