You're not too far from the one on Windy Hill Road, Kayrob. It's located north of the Perimeter just off I-75. Pappasito's is right beside it (they share an enormous parking lot).
Dining there feels, to me, like a trip to Disney World.
I hate to post even a partly negative review in this thread because I love reading all these happy experiences but to be honest, both of the "Pappas" are serving okay but not fabulous food. However, they do serve it in a fun atmosphere and have fantastic buildings, decorated lavishly and colorfully.

Okay thanks. Ans no I'm not. In fact I just had surgery at a facility on Windy Hill road in Marietta recently. Close to Windy Hill hospital. Was able to get there via Austell Road without getting on any highway. Could I do the same for Papadeaux's assuming it's the same Windy Hill Road?

Food is basically what Maggiano's is to Italian and you won't find any foodies or chowhounds raving about it at atlantacuisine. However, I cannot say that the food is bad - in fact, I love their chicken tender strips for some odd reason (being seafood restaurant and all).

Yes. It's just east of the I-75 overpass. When you go under I-75 traveling east on Windy Hill, take the first right (almost immediately after passing under 75) into the Pappadeaux/Pappasito's parking lot. You will see the signage for both.

For good BBQ (which is the local specialty) check out Williamson Brothers in Marietta and Fat Mats near Midtown Atlanta. Also, for a good burger, check out the Vortex in Little 5 Points...just don't bring your kids.
|
Williamson Brothers is decent BBQ, but I found their sauce a little thin. Then again, I'm a northerner who likes St Louis-style BBQ with thicker sauces (think Famous Daves), so my taste is suspect. :-) For BBQ ribs, my hands-down favorite down here is the Olde Mill Steakhouse by the Cumberland Mall.
Just ate at Vortex for the first time a week or so ago. Not only was the burger I had very good, but the tatooed waitress was VERY cute and made the whole experience one I won't forget for a while. If she's reading this... But I'd rather have a burger from Lions Tap in Eden Prairie, MN, or from the Hilltop Tavern ("Hamburger Heaven") in Mankato.
We had Cracker Barrel in the Twin Cities, and it's a decent chain if you like "home cooking".

The Marietta Diner is near the top of our list. I *love* their "Twin Burger" (two patties, served on separate buns), their Chicken Cordon Bleu is wonderful and presented in an interesting way (the stuffed chicken breast is cut into "rings" and laid on a bed of noodles), and their dessert menu is hard to describe...

I am addicted to Pappadeux. There are a total of three in the ATL area (Marietta, Norcross, and Alpharetta).
I also love Maggianos! Any of these places will put you into a food coma.

When we do move there (God willing), I think it may be my next great restarunt, or yeah, and Cracker Barrel was pretty good too!

We are new here too from S. FL by way of NY. My hubby went to Pappadeaux with his job, and he raved about it. I gotta take the entire family to try it.

Y'all have Pappadeaux's and Cracker Barrel in Georgia? I thought those were just in Texas.
