Saw your the other post. If your husband work in downtown, peachtree city is good choice. About 45 minutes drive. That's considered very good in Atlanta area. Very good schools, specially in McIntosh and Star Mills school districts. A lot of Delta pilots live there. Search on the web. Peachtree city is one of most popular suburb on the south of Atlanta.

I agree. Peachtree City might be a very good choice for your family. In terms of commute and your price range, I am not sure you can do any better.

Thanks for all this great advice!
My husband has some questions: does Peachtree City has a subway system?
For the mom the moved there from Boston, how do you like it?, how does your kids like living there south?
I'm originally from South America so I don't mind the nice weather!
Question:
If you want to do fun adult things like going out do you need to go to the city? or is there any night activities like theater in Peachtree?
From what I've read looks like a great place to live!

No subway in Peachtree City. You can take an express bus from Newnan or drive to the Marta station in College Park, about a 30 minute drive. The Atlanta area has a very limited transit system, it's constrained mostly to the two most urban counties. Most of the night time activities are up in Atlanta, Peachtree is mostly just a bedroom community with a few shops. There is probably something over in Newnan though but I really don't know.

I have to tell you, Peachtree City is a wonderful place to live (coming from someone who lives here). We have been here for about 4 years, and think that it is great. So good, as a matter of fact, that we opened a business here (Jump 2 It - Jump 2 It - Home). We thought that PTC (Peachtree City) needed a place for the children, and who wouldn't want a 5 minute commute But really, we love our city, and can't see why anyone (especially someone with children) wouldn't love it too. Hope to see you soon

We have lived here for 2 years and love it! We moved from San Diego and my kids (as well as my dh and I) had an easy transition. Everyone is a transplant that lives here. I guess it is due to all the Delta people. People are from all over the nation (and world). I only know of a couple of native Georgians. Anyway, there is no subway here. There are a lot of cart paths which is a fun way to get around town. There are a few bars, but no theatre. There is a theatre in Newnan, but I would prefer to go into ATL for that kind of stuff (the Fox, Alliance, etc). There is an amphitheatre here called the Fred. Throughout the summer there are concerts that are pretty fun. Everyone takes their golf cart and it is a fun night out. Hope this helps!

You must be proud of yourself for helping displace a native population. So you're saying that if Peachtree City were only native Georgians, you'd have a tough time?

Only the Cherokee are not guilty of that.
