Default Visited Vinings

I recently moved to Marietta to be close to my job. So I went driving around looking around to get more familiar with the area. I found myself in Vinings. Wow, I wish I would of moved there. The shops are very nice, a lot of places to eat, and beautiful houses and neighborhoods. There was like a Banana Republic in the middle of no where.

Anyone live there currently? What is the travel time to get on the interstate and go to smyrna (around 8:00ish)? It's a backwards commute so it can't be too bad. I live in Marietta and it takes 30 minutes for my commute down Windy Hill and I'm less than 8 miles away. I could get from McDonough to Atlanta which is 30 miles in 45 minutes. Would Vinings be better?

I live in Vinings (Paces Mill Rd. - near Kroger) and I love the location. Very convenient to everything.

The commute to Smyrna would be a breeze. Just jump on the 75/285 interchange at Cumberland Blvd. and go up to the Windy Hill Rd. exit. Or you can take side streets. Minimal commute time.

Here is CCT's web site where you can find info and maps, etc: Cobb County Government

I think it's route 10 that goes down Cobb Parkway in front of Kroger and into Atlanta to connect to MARTA, but CCT is so-so regarding coverage. Study the maps carefully before planning a move if you completely rely on public transit.
