Default Dental schools in Atlanta

Are there any dental schools in the area where you can get work done for a minimum fee? My sister broke her crown and her dental plan does not cover this. Any suggestions? Thanx,

Thanx. So where does one go for a dental emergency? I have looked online and keep coming up with nothing. She's thinking of going back to Chicago just to see her former dentist...he will put her on a payment plan. I don't know what else to tell her.

There is some sort of late clinic in Dekalb, but they don't do complicated stuff and take cash only, no insurance. You can apply for Care Credit. I haven't found a dentist here yet that will do a payment plan and have been having bad toothaches for about half a year. I have been the best customer of Tylenol and Advil for some time.

GA Perimeter In Dunwoody, Georgia offers dental assistance to outside patients as well. Also, check with artistic smiles in duluth, georgia. Their website is artisticsmilesofga.com. They have a payment plan that is 24 months interest free if you are approved. Your credit has to be descent from what I was told.

There is only one dental school in Georgia and that is in Augusta. I doubt that they accept care credit, because their fees are already reduced, and the way Care Credit works is that the dentist is paying the interest for you out of their pocket. Most dentists do not do payment plans because patients do not pay, get into financial trouble, etc, and the dentist gets screwed. There are some dental chains that offer in house financing. I would check with chains such as Coast Dental, Dent1st, Nanston, and there are some others that are escaping my mind right now. There are some public health clinics in Atlanta, the most famous of which is the Ben Massell clinic here in Atlanta. To qualify for services you must be at or below 125% of the poverty level (for one person than means you must make less than $1130 a month, $1550 for 2 people).

There are only 48 dental schools in the U.S. Almost all of them operate at a loss which explains why.
