Exactly.. and it is 100% revisionist history that has been spoonfed to our children by Christians and their agenda. The whole "Christian nation" and "Judeo-Christian values" BS is a shining example

It is the Judeo-Chrsitian heritage of this country that has allowed all to have freedoms, freedom to practice any religion or non at all.
BS. "Thou shalt have no other gods before me" is not the foundation for freedom of religion.

There's NOTHING in The Bible that promotes a democracy or free nation. These things came from reason and intellect, not religion. We owe our democracy to the ancient Greeks. not Christianity.

The same can be said of sexual protection of our young
Hahah.. yeah because The Bible is SOOOO keen on the protection of children. If The Bible and its "god" had any morality at all wouldn't you think sexual exploitation of children would have made the ten commandments?

Instead, Bible god himself tells the Israelites that they can rape the captured young girls of their enemies, and to stone to death unruly children.

Our laws, like it or not, ARE based on the ten commandments, you can't get any more Judeo-Christian than the book of Exodus.
LOL! Our laws are not in any way shape or form based on the Ten Commandments. Hell, the Ten Commandments themselves are ripped off the Egyptian Book of The Dead so if you're going to go that route, we owe our laws to the Ancient Egyptians (actually, we owe our laws to The Romans).

Anyone who believes our laws are based on the Ten Commandments, I suggest you watch this vid. It destroys your ignorance quite nicely:

My Christian connections think that everyone SHOULD be Christian and those who are not are heathens (as Peru said earlier).

I have no issue with someone who takes comfort in their religion. Or who has decided to homeschool. Or who has decided to be vegetarian, for that matter. It's just exhausting to keep getting attacked for being "wrong." Anyone can choose a soapbox and climb up on it and find plenty of others who will support their belief. But just because they can find support in books or on the internet doesn't make it fact.

Truth exists, but nobody knows what it is. Therefore, we're all left to discover our own. If you've found yours, cool, but it might not be mine.

None of this discussion has anything to do with upsetmama's problem anymore. It's taken an ugly turn down the path of rhetoric and agenda. I hope she got the advice she needed.

I definitely don't want my kids to learn about God from a standardized curriculum. Why would ANYONE, Christian or otherwise, think this would be a good idea? Math is math, science is science. Religion is sooooooooooooo personal and so subjective, even within the boundaries of your own faith. And you want the SCHOOLS to decide how to form your kids' religious beliefs? Jeez, we don't even have the history books right!

You homeschooled your children and made multiple grammatical and spelling mistakes in this post?

A homeschooling education isn't necessarily superior.

Where does it say that then? The specific words that state you can do such things to children.

This should be good as I already know which passage, and there is only one, that you will attempt to misquote.

I would go back to the school and ask the vice principal to give me a copy of the school book that is stating this is a reason to charge someone with SEXUAL BATTERY. I would then contact the Superintent of that school, and I would write a notice to the Superintent and the school requesting two things
1. That my son is REINSTATED ASAP
2. That this incident is removed from his educational file.

According to GA Law the following is considered an act of Aggravated Sexual Assault.
(a) For the purposes of this Code section, the term “foreign object” means any article or instrument other than the sexual organ of a person.
(b) A person commits the offense of aggravated sexual battery when he or she intentionally penetrates with a foreign object the sexual organ or anus of another person without the consent of that person.
(c) A person convicted of the offense of aggravated sexual battery shall be punished by imprisonment for life or by a split sentence that is a term of imprisonment for not less than 25 years and not exceeding life imprisonment, followed by probation for life, and shall be subject to the sentencing and punishment provisions of Code Sections 17-10-6.1 and 17-10-7

None of these acts in no way resembles acts of any kind of Sexual Assualt, and if I was you I would not in any shape form or fashion have my child associated with these types of charges

It's interesting how devoted to your goverment education some of you are.

It's also interesting that I'm the only one with a workable solution to the lady's problem. I hope she'll write us back in a few months to tell us how well all your grand solutions worked. I'm eager to see how one mother of a fine young man fares against the teacher's union, the principal's office, the Dfacs goons that are at the school system's beck and call, and the weight of gazillions of federal dollars spent to protect teacher's jobs.

Then, good old Peru, like before will offer her the same good advice: If you love him, get him out of there somehow, before the government and their mindless zombie supporters crush his spirit.
