Default Should I work in Rome, Ga or North Atlanta?

I have a wife and two young children ages 6 and 3. Schools will be a priority along with commute. I know nothing about the schools in Rome but heard that I could live in Dallas or Cartersville and have a decent commute to Rome. North Atlanta on the other hand is a different story. i heard if I lived in an area such as Duluth, it could take me an hour or more to drive 20 miles. Any suggestions? If I choose to work in Rome should I live there or another city outside of Rome? Thanks.

Just depends on what you are looking for other than school. The drive from Cartersville wont be bad but I've never made the drive from Dallas but it shouldn't be that bad either. As for North Atlanta, I assume you mean North Metro. Cartersville and Dallas are still Metro Atlanta but if you want closer in Acworth and Kennesaw is as close as you can get and commute to Rome but a lot of people wouldn't do that drive.

Cartersville is diverse (for GA standards), have good schools, and more progressive than Rome. I suggest visiting all of the above mentioned cities and making a choice.
