I like listening to varying viewpoints and like Cain as well. My only complaint is that he only seems to ever talk about taxes and healthcare. Every night. Night after night. I usually listen to something else with a little more political variety.

Well Im not a big fan by no means. He seems to be a little to conservative for my taste. However he is not usually just "unreasonable" or spiteful like Beck and Hannity. Those last two are a disgrace to this country.Beck just gets caught in LIE AFTER LIE.They have absolutely no honor at ALL.My view of them has nothing to do with politics as much as it as to do about being a decent human being and honor. They are just "shifty" individuals IMO.

Hannity drives me nuts! He is perhaps one of the most close-minded people around- and yes I am a conservative. If only Boortz was on in the afternoon/evening instead of hannity on my way home from work. I can't even take 5 minutes of that guy. He is like the Cochran of the conservative right wing.
I agree about Hannity. Whether you like him or not, Neal Boortz has a clear political philosophy and can provide a relatively clear argument in support of his views. The same goes for Rush Limbuagh, again, even if you disagree with his views or his abrasive style, he can run down a series of arguments in support of his point of view. Hannity, on the other hand, does not know how to clearly state an argument, and resorts to saying "You liberals...blah, blah, blah" most of the time.

Love him. He tells it like it is and is not afraid to admit if he is wrong.

Please 'O wise one, please enlighten me on how this country "used to be" prior to Obama. Please shed light on the glaring differences between today (9/10/2009) and just one year ago (9/10/2008), please inquiring minds want to know what has changed so drastically. Oh yeah I forgot, there is one of "those people" in the oval office now, OK I see what you mean
I mean I dont get it, have you stopped eating? Are you all of the sudden out on the street post January 21, 2009? Where Americans picking gold from the street under 8 years of the Cheney/Bush/Halliburton Mafia regime?? People like you are hilarious; your inner hate clouds the part of your brain that makes logical informed decisions.

Can you please let me know what Beck has lied about? I just started watching him and I'm liking it so far. He is very energetic and obviously cares a lot about what he discusses. I'm watching right now and he is pointing out how no station except Fox has reported on the ACORN prostitution scandal that came out this morning (ACORN Officials Videotaped Telling 'Pimp,' 'Prostitute' How to Lie to IRS - Local News | News Articles | National News | US News - FOXNews.com). I know Fox can be biased, but I think he has a good point that CNN or somebody should have at least looked into this story as it seems like a pretty big deal.

LIES:
Lou Dobbs, Glenn Beck and Bill O̢۪Reilly: Fueling America with Lies | DMI Blog
Art Levine: The Kennedy Legacy vs. Glenn Beck's Lies About Reform "Murdering" Small Businesses
http://www.alternet.org/environment/142310/glenn_beck's_crazy_lies_about_van_jones/

He is one of the most ignorant people on T.V.Too many times. The things he says about the President goes beyond just politics.BTW.There are no absolutes usually. He is in the news "biz" so he will come across legite stuff that has merit. That is how people like him get away with the other lies because he mixes the truth with the lies.He does come across as being thoughtful and intelligent.I used to watch him a few years ago and still do occassionally. Now its because I want to see for myself what idiotic things come out of his mouth.

This country has THE worst sources of news in the world because people in this country don't want reality. We have a lot of issues that need to be addressed with solutions not OVER-HYPED ,embelished stories, about issues that do no more than stir up people consciousness. All about issues that they have not seeked the answers for themselves.Their answers only come from people like Glen Beck for ALL things instead of the initial sources.

The whole Van Jones thing proves my point. This man, even by the people that called for his resignation for some of the things he said before his appointment, said he was one of the smartest intellectual "assets to our government concerning the green economy".I don't agree with his statements or even his affiliations. He is an American that has a impeccable dossier. He broke no laws. Why does he have to step down?Like Obama said "its SILLY SEASON" in Washington. It is this country that is suffering because we place more importance on appearances than REALITY. This about Van Jones:
Quote:
the editors of Time who named him one of the 100 most influential people in the world and one of the nation's "Heroes of the Environment." Or Fast Company magazine, which placed him on its list of the "12 Most Creative Minds."

All he and other talk about is "socialist" this and socialist that.Yet when Bush/Obama was bailing out the banks, and the Automakers it was not a socialist idea. Now I'm a capitalist and i believe it is the best system in the world. However that does not mean that we as a country cannot create "a more perfect union" by using and adapting principles from all forms of government.People like him and even Cain provide a old conservative way of thinking by preserving the "status quo".They use words that promote an America in a world that today has moved forward while we stay stuck in our mindset that we are "God's Chosen" people and the rest of the world is nothing great.Yet all the while our schools are crumbling, middle class shrinking, and crime escalating.Even our life expectancy has not changed. Our quality of life in America revolves around MONEY.I like money but I like LiFE more.America ranks near the bottom of major industrialized nations in the world in "quality of life".

I don't mean to rant but this is not about whether I am a Democrat or a Republican. This is about sensationalist media personalities in which most of them are republican conservatives like Beck,Limbaugh, and Hannity.Thing is when you have a somewhat less moderate conservative like Cain,he gets overshadowed by the others.Eventually he will become the same way because people want whoever is the loudest. It happened to Glen Beck.He was not like he is now in the begining. His ratings now have shot through the roof.People in America are so adapt at competing ,that it becomes about who WINS,not what whoever wins is all about.

Its good to keep in mind whether you are supporters or opponents of these talk show hosts that they take their points and arguments to the extreme and elevate personal attacks in some cases because it gets ratings and makes them millions of dollars.

Most Americans are in the middle if you look at actual issues but many get fired up about what they hear and sometimes they seem extreme when if you were to go back to their core beliefs and not attacks they are probably more in the middle

He's pretty good.

Glenn Beck has been doing a very good job as of late.

Savage, Levin, and Hannity aren't bad either. Hugh Hewitt is a good host as well.

That is a good point. Its true that so many people are in the middle. In most societies its true.Unforturnately it is the extremist that talk the loudest therefore the moderates become mute. What about the Nazis?Had the majority of people who knew what was going on was wrong stood up BEFORE it was too late, many lives would have been saved. The tragedy of America are those people who are unwilling to compromise.(On both sides)
