RainyRainyDay, thanks for the link.
I used to live on the unincorporated Bartow side, 100 feet from Cobb and 50 feet from Cherokee. The road I lived on was serviced by the city of Acworth.
I thought parts of Cherokee is within the city limits of Acworth. My step-father's uncle and his family used to own the property on Priest road (off Baker road) where the golf course is now.

Acworth is a nice little city with a quaint downtown and city beach. If your into lake activities you've got to many spots to list as far as access, all within 5-10 minutes.
Acworth has everything you need. It's well planed out as for commercial & residential districts. The roads are not all clogged up and you have I75 to get you heading in any direction you need to go.

There are lots of threads on this forum, alluding to the mismatches between zip codes and cities and counties. Having "Acworth" in your mailing address doesn't mean a lot.

Yes, Rainy...I'm glad you clarified this for the OP.
Like you said, the city of limits of Acworth are entirely in Cobb County. However, the Acworth zip code stretches through four counties...and most the area is unincorporated territory.
Since you are interested in schools, areas with an Acworth address attend the following high schools:
Cobb County
1. North Cobb
2. Allatoona
3. Harrison
4. Kell
Cherokee
-Etowah
Bartow
1. Woodland
2. Cass
Paulding
-North Paulding (a small part of East Paulding High's district may also have an Acworth address).
*Looking at the high schools is an excellent to see how a specific area's schools are in general.
*All of the aforementioned high schools are good. Almost all of the feeder schools (elementary+middle) for the high schools are good as well.
I hope this helps. Good Luck!

Speaking of Woodland and Cass high schools. Children in the 30102 zip code (Bartow side) go to either schools, depending on where school buses are zoned to.

Thanks...!
But, I'm pretty sure it is not done by "school bus"...there is probably a school district zone...and the 30102 zip code in Bartow County feeds into both the Woodland and Cass high school district zones...where a student goes depends on where the line is district line is drawn and where their house/neighborhood/subdivision is located.

Op, you can use greatschools.net to compare each school. It was a useful tool for me in our search.
In Dacula, you have Dacula High and Mill Creek High. I think there are a few parts of Dacula that now that feed into the new high school, Mountain View, that just opened this year.
Our school zone is excellent, but I don't know anything about Acworth so I can't help you there...
Here is a link for Mill Creek school cluster:

Here's one for Dacula school cluster:

These links will help you determine what elementary/middle schools feed into each high school.
Hope this helps :-)
