Default In search of condo/loft in neighborhood E. of 85

I am currently looking for a condo/loft on the East side of 85. I would like to be in an area btwn VaHi and Edgewood, preferrably in a neighborhood with good restaurant/bars nearby. I'm a single male so schools are not a concern, easy access to 75/85 would be great though. Any recomenndations would be appreciated. Thanks!

What is your price range and how many bedrooms do you want? Any additional information would be helpful too so we can narrow down your choices.

I'd look in the Aramore on Peachtree by Peachtree Battle. Great restaurants nearby and 85 is a minute away. I think there are some good deals because a friend of mine bought recently and got a steal.

I'd like to stay below 200k and only need 1 bedroom. 2 would be nice though.

Dorsey Alston, REALTORS - 3915939 - Terms of Service - Atlanta's First Family of Real Estate since 1947

This unit is for sale in the building where my friend bought. I toured it on Saturday because I was curious. Have absolutely no connection at all to the building or real estate agent. But it looked amazing and I was impressed with the building. May be worth a look...

If I see anything else I will post.

I always pass by studioplex and think it's the coolest thing. It's a restored warehouse in Edgewood/Inman Park that's become a loft/retail center. It's close to 75/85 (Freedom Pkwy). This is totes my dream location (Edgewood-Old 4th Ward) whenever I can afford it!

The plex has more of a hip east Atlanta vibe than a Buckhead yuppie vibe. Retail is on location. The first link shows the site overall. The second is for one particular residence. I believe those are stock photos and probably not one of that specific unit. For your price range, there are units between 149k & 199k for 1 bd/1 ba

I lived at Studioplex for 4 years (Currently own two units) and loved it! They are putting a pool in where that Green Space is on that listing above so that should enhance it even more. With it being located right next to The Path Trail and Inman Park it's a joggers dream and is neatly tucked away. Great restaurants and bars are all around the area as well and it provides easy access to 20/75/85 and to all of the cool neighborhoods intown as well. Take a took as it fits everything your looking for. I miss living there all the time.

Why'd you move? I'm getting absorbed right now by all these old articles talking about its development. I can't imagine leaving that place!

Well I back in 2007 I was dead set on getting a larger place (townhouse) and purchased a Brock Built townhome on the Inner Westside Historic Westside | Brock Built Blog.

I love my place and love the potential for the neighborhood and being less than a few blocks from Marta and Publix/Barber Shop/Parks/Track/Pools/Tennis Center and other amenities but of course Studioplex will always have a special place in my heart. I own two units there that I rent out to live/work artists that are doing fine and I would move back in a heartbeat in the future .

Studioplex is extremely cozy and has great people that live and work there. They have a green market every weekend I believe and there is always something going on there but it's never overdone. It's one of the true loft gems in Atlanta that has retained it's history and it's evident by the passion of the people who live and work there. Matter a fact it was one of the best selling lofts/condos when the market was strong in 2007-2008. I believe it's around 75% sold at the moment. I think Studioplex is a pefect fit for someone who wants a authentic loft in a quieter area than midtown and downtown. Also parking is not a problem either unlike the midtown/downtown lofts and your close enough to the action but far enough away to feel like your getting away from it all. There are TONS of restaurants in the area in Old 4th Ward/Inman Park and tons of recreation so IMO there is just as much to do as If your living in Midtown without all of the congestion that comes with midtown/downtown.
