College Football Hall of Fame coming to Atlanta | Political Insider

Great decision-- Atlanta has to be the #1 college football city in the US.

Great news, especially after losing the NASCAR Fall of Hame, but frankly the NASCAR Hall of Fame belongs in Charlotte, and FRANKLY the College Football Hall of Fame belongs right here in Atlanta.

Great, another reason to avoid Centennial Olympic.

On what basis?

Not to argue that putting it in atlanta is a bad idea, simply because they have the foot traffic to keep something like this afloat, but calling atlanta the #1 college football city is a bit of a stretch.

I'm not hating on Atlanta, but I can think of five bigger college football cities than Atlanta and it's not that hard.

I never really thought of ATL as college football grounds.

Even though it probably has a much better chance of being visited than in South Bend.

Really? Name them. There may be bigger college football towns for an individual team but as a melting pot of rooting interests you would be hard pressed to top Atlanta.

Wow, I'm pretty much a non-sports person and foreigner, but really, Atlantans are obsessed with college football. I have lots of colleagues in Indiana and they're all about the Colts. Guys at the DC and NC offices also seem to take more interest in pro sports. Where in this country could people possibly be more into college football than Atlanta? The mind boggles.
