From Michigan Need some Immediate help in Georgia _advise
Hello all. I am currently in Michigan and have to take my In-laws home to Florida. They won't fly so I am forced to drive. Last week it appeared we couldn't get through so we decided to wait.
Obviously I will be traveling down Interstate 75 Through Kentucky than Georgia into Florida.
I am wondering number 1 are the roads clear. Will I be able to get off an exit for food gas and maybe lodging.
Anyone that can give me an accurate idea of what it's like to travel through there right now would be a very big help.
God Bless
Thanks
Rick

You'll have no problem at all- all of the closures on the interstate are cleared, and you shouldn't encounter any issues with exits either.

You're worrying about things you don't need to worry about- there's no issues with food, lodging, gas, etc., along the interstates.

Bob is right. You are clear to head to Florida and should have no problems. Just make sure if you drive slow, you stick to driving in the right lane. We love driving fast down here without any interuptions!

What's fast 80 MPH? If not I am a slow driver Thanks for the help. AAA travel sure steered me wrong. They led me to believe I should wait 2 weeks before venturing through Kentucky or Georgia.

Are they still doing reconstruction on I-75 down in Cook County? I bet a lot of folks have retired off that stretch of road.
To the OP: I-75 will be fine. Just try to avoid driving anywhere north of Atlanta in the morning time as you'll be in that huge parking lot of traffic from Cobb and Cherokee counties.

AAA said two weeks? (LOL) I wish they'd hire me to work for them. How hard is it to obtain correct information regarding interstate highways? I let AAA go a few years ago after I had to wait an hour and half for a wrecker.
